| Why do you prioritize certain series over others? I know Naruto, Bleach, One Piece all come out of the same magazine!
There's a pretty big readership at MangaShark, and it's very hard to make everybody happy. Sometimes what it comes down to is the availability of our translators mixed with the size of the readership bases for the chapters on the table. To give you an example, if Naruto and Katekyo Hitman Reborn are both fully edited but we only have 1 translator available and they only have time for 1 chapter - we'll ask them to do Naruto since the fanbase is at least 8x larger and by consequence 8x more obnoxious if there are delays.
Do you plan to pick up more series? Why did you stop releasing [insert series], it was my favorite!
We pick up new manga to translate occasionally, but not very often. We're pretty happy with our lineup now so we don't foresee us picking up anything new in the near future. Staff availability changes all the time for better or worse, this can enable us to pick up a new series or on the flipside, force us to drop one. Ideally we have enough people interested in each series we do that if one person decides to stop it doesn't jeopardize the whole effort. Please don't contact us asking for us to pick anything up, and please don't ask why we dropped anything. Nothing any fan says or does will force our hand either way so it's best to let the issue rest.
Why was I banned from your Facebook page?
If you want to avoid getting banned you should not:
- Disrespect us by informing us how "late" a release is.
- Link to manga aggregators or advertise your own products/services.
- Ask inside of a chapter post when a different series' chapter is coming out (ie: inside Hajime no Ippo asking when Naruto is coming)
